Beyond 802.11 Wi-Fi, hear what’s new with 802.16 WiMAX, CDMA and GSM cellular
Each engineering standard associated with 802.11 Wi-Fi, 802.16 WiMAX and CDMA or GSM cellular (including HSPDA and LTE) implies a specific set of capabilities, limitations and opportunities. Mr. Bardwell will elaborate, compare and contrast these technologies with his lively, entertaining presentation style. Each wireless air standard is specifically targeted at a relatively narrow set of goals. In practice, standards are often pushed into play to solve problems for which there were never conceived. This presentation will help the audience understand how to identify project requirements that are best served by the most appropriate air standards.
