We are entering 2006 and CETPA’s 46th year and the organization continues be a key resource for technology professionals in K-12 education. As we move into a new year, your board continues to look for ways to better serve the membership. Our board’s goals this year reflect the vision and mission of the organization.
Some of work that the board will focus on this year will include:
An improved online presence to better meet the collaborative needs of the membership; ensure your board is able to deliver resources in the most effective manner; continue to organize and promote professional enrichment programs; establish active and strategic outreach with other organizations and committees; and, of course, continue the work of planning the annual conference.
Thanks to the content provided by our membership, vendors and invited guests, the 45th annual conference was a huge success. We broke attendance records once again and received a number of positive comments such as:
“This conference just keeps getting better.”
“This is the one conference where I can network with others in the state… I often take away new ideas that I can implement in my own district.”
“The keynotes were visionary and thought provoking.”
The focus of this issue of DataBus is on statewide projects and organizations that CETPA is affiliated with such as FCMAT and the CTO project, Cal- PASS, TechSets, K-12 HSN, CCSESA - TTSC. I am confident that you will find this issue useful and informative as many of these partnerships and projects can have a positive impact on technology programs throughout your district or county office. Future issues are being planned to target other areas of interest and need. On behalf of the CETPA board, I personally welcome you and wish thank you for your continued support.
I am humbled and honored by the opportunity to serve as the president for the upcoming year and it is my hope that our focus on key goals will improve the organization and the membership it serves. Please enjoy this issue of DataBus as CETPA enters its 46th year!
